Privacy Policy
The short version: we collect what running honest markets requires, we make the market data public and keep your identity private, and we don't sell your data. The details are below.
1. What we collect
- Account data — the email and handle you sign up with.
- Trading activity — your orders, positions, and settlements, which form part of the public ledger in pseudonymous form.
- Device & usage — IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, used for security and to keep the Service working.
- Local preferences — theme, odds format, and dismissed banners are stored in your browser (localStorage), not on our servers.
2. How we use it
To operate markets and settle trades, to secure accounts and prevent manipulation or fraud, to compute public leaderboards and calibration, to provide support, and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.
3. What is public
Predikon proves its integrity in the open, so trades and resolutions are recorded on a public, pseudonymous ledger tied to your handle — not your email or identity. Your leaderboard standing and any public posts you make are visible to others. Everything needed to verify a market is public; everything that identifies you is not.
6. Retention
We keep account and transaction records for as long as your account is open and thereafter as required for legal, accounting, and anti-fraud purposes. Public ledger entries are, by design, permanent — they are what make past markets verifiable.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to certain processing. Email privacy@predikon.com and we will respond within the timeframe your law requires. Note that public ledger entries cannot be erased without breaking verifiability; we will de-identify where we can.
8. Security
We protect data in transit and at rest and limit internal access. No system is perfectly secure; if you spot a vulnerability, tell us at security@predikon.com rather than disclosing it publicly.
Effective 8 July 2026. Privacy questions: privacy@predikon.com.
